This guide describes how to define and use grouping criteria for organizing and searching products in Netvisor. Grouping criteria are available only in extended product management, and they enhance product listings by associating keywords with products.
CONTENT
Grouping criteria are user-defined text information that can be selected for products. Since a product can belong to only one product group, grouping criteria diversify the organization and search of products in the product listing. You can assign so-called keywords to products, and by searching the product listing with these keywords, you can display the desired products. The same keyword can be stored behind multiple products. Grouping criteria are only available in extended product management.
Grouping criteria can be accessed by opening the desired product and clicking the link "Manage grouping criteria".
Manage grouping criteria
Management includes creating new grouping criteria and editing and deleting existing ones.
Create new grouping criteria
A desired name is given to the grouping criteria. If the product is used in English or Swedish, the created grouping criteria must be translated manually. If the English and Swedish fields are left empty, the same information as in the Finnish field will be used.
Once the desired grouping criteria have been created, they can still be edited using the pencil and notepad button or deleted using the red cross. Information can be deleted even if it is already in use by products. The information will simply be removed from the products upon deletion.
Assign to product
Created grouping criteria can be selected for the desired product on the product's Basic Information edit tab. The desired grouping criteria are selected with the mouse for the respective row, and the row appears with a blue background. You can select the desired number of grouping criteria for the product. Finally, remember to save the information. Below is an example where the keyword has been selected as the grouping criteria. The menu will display the grouping criteria that have been previously created.
Use grouping criteria in product listing
Once the desired grouping criteria have been assigned to a product, they can be used in the product listing to search for the product using this criteria.
Below is an example using the keyword "hakusana", which was set as the product's Title grouping criteria.
Keywords: Grouping criteria. extended product management.
