General view
Save the holiday year and employee-specific holiday calculation method, calculation rule, holiday price, and holiday bonus price for holiday years that have not been calculated in Netvisor or if you want to change the daily price calculated by Netvisor. Create and view employees' holiday payslips from the view. Override the employee's default information and calculations by saving rules and values in the view. If no exceptional calculation rule or value is set in the view, the program calculates the holiday price according to the employee's current holiday calculation method.
Payable holiday days or holiday bonus days are automatically deducted from the oldest holiday year to the newest. Do not define the payable holiday year separately in the payroll process. Separate salary type rows are created on the payslip for the payable holiday pays and holiday bonus days, with the holiday year being paid as the explanation.
Filter the view based on the holiday accrual year, employee, and salary model. Make holiday year and employee-specific changes in the view.

Setting the calculation rule and daily price for the holiday year
In the holiday prices view, employees have the default holiday calculation method defined in the employee's basic information.
For each holiday year, the holiday price is retrieved according to the setting set for the holiday year. Define in the holiday prices view which holiday calculation method is used for the holiday year and whether the holiday price is calculated using the formula for the holiday calculation method or if a fixed price is given for the holiday day and holiday bonus day in the price list.

If no exceptional settings are defined in the holiday prices view, the holiday price is calculated using the formula for the employee's current holiday calculation method. User guide: Holiday calculation methods
Setting the calculation rule
Set the holiday year-specific calculation rule employee-specifically. Choose the calculation rule as the formula for the holiday calculation method or the user input value.
Formula for holiday calculation method
Use the formula for the holiday calculation method to follow the calculation formula for the holiday price chosen for the employee.
You can open the view or perform an action by selecting Payroll > Settings > Holiday calculation settings > Holiday calculation methods.
Example:
The employee is on a monthly salary and holidays accrue using the monthly salary holiday calculation method, but regular working hours have changed during the holiday year, and the employee's holiday pay is desired to be paid on a percentage basis.
- Select the correct and desired holiday calculation method for the holiday year in the holiday prices view.
- Automatically calculate the holiday price according to the set holiday calculation method formula if the earnings for the holiday year are found in the payslips calculated in Netvisor and no changes have been needed to the calculation formulas for the holiday calculation methods.
- Otherwise, choose "user input value" as the calculation rule for the employee.
User input value and setting daily prices
Override the automatically formed value by saving the desired daily price for the employee if the program's calculated daily price is not desired or the holiday calculation has not been done in Netvisor.
Enter the daily price in the Holiday price and Holiday bonus price columns. These values determine the holiday pay and holiday bonus paid to employees for the holiday year.

Set values for the employee in the Holiday price and Holiday bonus price columns so that the payroll accountant's view on the payslip forms sums on the "Holiday price" and "Holiday bonus price" salary type rows according to the set holiday calculation method, holiday year, and daily price.

Impact of user input value on holiday calculation reports
Note that if you input a value in the holiday prices view for the holiday price and/or holiday bonus price columns, the daily euros do not automatically transfer to other holiday calculation functions, such as the Holiday pay debt view. When holiday pay or bonus is paid, the Holiday pay debt report may be negative or remain positive for the employee's accrued euros due to the daily price saving.
Check and make possible changes to the Holiday pay debt if you save holiday pay or holiday bonus daily prices in the holiday prices view to ensure the report is up to date for accrued euros. Note that changes made in the Holiday pay debt view do not have an accounting impact.

Computational holiday calculation method (e.g. HolidayKTA, HolidayKPA or % -based)
Set the employee a holiday calculation method whose formula uses the "salary type value for the time period" formula element information "beginning and end of the holiday accrual year being processed". In this case, the earnings affecting the holiday price calculation are retrieved from the values of the holiday year whose accruals are being paid.

Example:
Set the employee the holiday calculation method HolidayKTA and the calculation rule "Formula for holiday calculation method". The holiday price is automatically formed based on the earnings of the holiday year being paid on the payslip.

Impact of employee-specific holiday percentage on holiday price
Note the following when paying holidays to the employee and the holiday calculation formula includes the holiday percentage as a coefficient:
The program uses the employee's current holiday percentage rule for calculating the holiday price. Save the holiday price and holiday bonus price accrued with the smaller percentage in the "holiday prices" view if the holiday percentage has changed to a higher percentage than what was used to accrue holiday pay during the previous holiday year.
Creating and previewing payslip (example)
The employee was on hourly pay during the holiday year 2022-2023, during which the holiday calculation method was HolidayKTA. The earnings for the holiday year 2022-2023 have not been processed in Netvisor's payroll. The employee is on a monthly salary starting from 1.4.2023, and the default holiday calculation method set in the employee's basic information is the monthly salary holiday calculation method. In June 2023, the employee wants to be paid 24 days of holiday pay and holiday bonus according to HolidayKTA.
- Set the holiday calculation method HolidayKTA for the employee for the holiday year 2022-2023 in the holiday prices view.
- Activate the user input values selection so that the holiday price and holiday bonus price can be set.

- Create a payslip for June 2023.
- Save 24 days of holiday pay and holiday bonus for payment. The payslip forms payment for 24 days of holiday pay and holiday bonus based on the available holiday days and the values saved in the holiday prices view.
- Check the salary type row explanation to see which holiday year's holidays are being paid on the payslip.

Do not save default settings in the holiday prices view if you want the holiday pay and holiday bonus to be formed for payment according to the holiday calculation method set in the employee's basic information.
