CONTENT
In Rackbeat, you can access inventory transfers by going to Inventory > Inventory transfers
Inventory transfers allow you to move products within the system from one storage location to another. The inventory transfer can be done manually or using data import.
Manual inventory transfer
- Go to Inventory > Inventory transfers
- Select "Create new" from the top right corner
- Choose the date for the inventory transfer, from which warehouse to which warehouse the products are transferred, and the reason for the inventory transfer
- Select the product and quantity to be transferred. If you want to transfer multiple products, select +New line
- Once you have added all the products to be transferred, select "Create inventory transfer"
- The inventory transfer is saved as a draft. When you select "Post", the transfer is recorded and inventory quantities are updated in the warehouses.
Tip: You can create a "temporary" location for your use (e.g., "transport"). You can use this as an interim location if you are transferring products from one warehouse to another. This way, you can track which products are in transit.
Inventory transfer using data import
- Go to Inventory > Inventory transfers
- Select "Import data" from the top right corner
- In the window that opens, you have the option to download a template file from "Template file". To ensure you import all necessary data, we recommend using the template file. The file to be imported must be a .csv file with utf-8 encoding.
- Remember to fill in the mandatory fields: Date, Product code, Quantity, From warehouse, To warehouse, Reason
- Find or drag the file to the "Select file" section
- If you use the template file, the data is automatically mapped to the columns. Otherwise, you can map the data by pressing the field header value
- If you want to remove a field, press "X"
- Finally, select "Import"
- The inventory transfer is saved as a draft. When you select "Post", the transfer is recorded and inventory quantities are updated in the warehouses.
