This guide explains how to manage customer-specific pricing in Rackbeat using price groups. This allows different pricing for the same product for different customers. Price groups are managed within Rackbeat and do not transfer to Netvisor.
You can access price groups in Rackbeat by going to Inventory > Price Groups.
In this view, you can manage customer-specific pricing, allowing the same product to cost different amounts for different customers.
Price groups do not transfer to Netvisor; they are handled within Rackbeat.
The Price Groups view directly shows existing price groups and their discounts. Rows can be edited or deleted. In editing, you can change the number, name, and discount percentage. The Create New button allows you to form a new price group.
If a price group is added behind a customer, it cannot be deleted.
If a customer is attached to a price group, the price group-specific discount percentage is activated for those products that are also attached to the price group. In other words, the customer must be attached to the price group, and the price group must be attached to the product for the discount percentage to take effect.
The Price Groups option can be found behind the customer on the "Prices and Discounts" tab.
If the % value of the price group is zero, the discount of the price group is used.
Override group discount (%) = If a customer is to be attached to a specific price group, but for some reason, a different discount than others is desired for the price group products, the desired discount percentage can be defined here. This discount percentage applies to those products that belong to the price group and overrides the normal discount percentage of the price group.
For the product, the price group must be placed in the price group field.
When creating an order or invoice for a specific customer and product, the discount percentage from the price group appears directly in the discount field, and the final price of the product becomes the discounted value. During the creation of the order and invoice, the discount or product price can still be manually edited.
If there is a default discount percentage behind the customer and a product is selected for the order that has a price group behind both the customer and the product, the discount for the order/invoice will be based on the price group. However, it can be edited during the creation of the order/invoice.
