Netvisor release notes 20.8.2026

The Netvisor release note compiles the updates, improvements, and fixes made to the product. In the release note, you will find both the product releases based on our long-term development roadmap and the changes identified and implemented based on customer wishes. Our goal is to make Netvisor even better for every user!

New in Netvisor

Below you will find detailed information about this week's updates and how they improve your daily work.

Financial management

Bulk actions for account-specific entries

On the Account-specific entries view you can now handle several rows at once. A new checkbox column and the "Apply to selected" menu in the footer allow you to set an existing tracking object on the selected rows, create a new tracking object and allocate it at the same time, or remove the tracking object from the selected rows. You can also mark several transactions as open or not open, which speeds up in particular the handling of unallocated transactions in balance sheet specifications. Changes to the open status are saved immediately from the toggle, while description edits are still saved with the Save button — the footer always shows whether there are unsaved changes, and bulk actions are locked while there are unsaved changes.

Faster reconciliation view and cost object hierarchies

We made performance improvements to the reconciliation view, which now loads smoothly even with large amounts of data. We also made opening large cost object hierarchies faster.

Cost objects in alphabetical order in the Bank statement view

In the Bank statement view, cost objects are now sorted by name. Finding the right cost object in long lists is therefore faster than before.

Payroll

New daily allowance types: meal allowance and night travel compensation

We added two new daily allowance types, meal allowance and night travel compensation, to travel expense reports (Travels -> New travel expense report -> Add daily allowance). At the same time, we grouped the daily allowance menu into three sections: domestic daily allowances, other compensations, and per diems for trips to other countries.

  • The new types are enabled in Payroll -> Payroll settings -> Default salary types. Before they are allocated, they do not appear in the daily allowance menu on the travel expense report, so existing companies will not see any changes until they start using them.

  • Meal allowance is reported to the Incomes Register with the meal allowance income type. Night travel compensation is not reported as a daily allowance when it is to be paid up to the maximum amount specified in the Tax Administration's decision.

  • Default values for 2026: night travel compensation 16,00 € and meal allowance 13,50 €.

A clearer Payroll settings page

We made the Payroll settings page clearer by grouping the settings by theme. This helps you find the setting you are looking for more quickly.

API support for worker category and job grade

We added support for worker category and job grade in the API. The information can therefore also be transferred to payroll through integrations.

Controller

Controller’s renewed user management

The Administrator can now define in even more detail what each user can see and do in Controller:

  • Permissions can be limited by cost object — you define which cost objects’ data the user can view or edit.

  • You also select the sections the user has access to (e.g. reports, budgets, forecasts).

Fixes

We have corrected the following errors observed in the system to ensure smooth usage:

Cost object report shortcuts: We fixed a bug where saving a report as a shortcut preserved only the first selected cost object. The shortcut now opens the report with all the cost objects that were selected at the time of saving.

Cost object calculation table in profit and loss statement format: We fixed a bug where the report showed a technical error message if no cost area had been selected. The page now directs you to a clear error page in this situation.

Financial management

Bulk actions for account-specific entries

On the Account-specific entries page you can now handle several rows at once. A new checkbox column and the "Apply to selected" menu in the footer let you set an existing tracking object on all selected rows, create a new tracking object and apply it in one step, or remove the tracking object from the selected rows. You can also mark several entries as open or not open at once, which speeds up the handling of unallocated transactions on balance specifications in particular. Changes to the follow-up status save instantly from the toggle, while description edits are still saved with the Save button — the footer always shows whether you have unsaved changes, and bulk actions are locked until you save them.

Faster reconciliation view and cost centre hierarchies

We made performance improvements to the reconciliation view, which now loads smoothly even with larger amounts of data. We also made opening large cost centre hierarchies faster.

Cost centres sorted alphabetically in the bank statement view

Cost centres are now sorted by name in the bank statement view. Finding the right cost centre in long lists is therefore quicker than before.

Payroll

New daily allowance types: meal allowance and night travel compensation

We added two new daily allowance types, meal allowance (ateriakorvaus) and night travel compensation (yömatkaraha), to travel expense creation (Travels -> New travel expense -> Add daily allowance). At the same time, we grouped the daily allowance dropdown under three headings: domestic daily allowance, other compensation, and foreign daily allowance.

  • The new types are mapped to wage types in Payroll -> Payroll settings -> Default wage types. Until a company maps them, they are not shown in the travel expense daily allowance dropdown, so existing companies see no change until they opt in.

  • Meal allowance is reported to the Incomes Register with the meal allowance income type. Night travel compensation is not reported as a daily allowance if paid up to the maximum amount specified in the Tax Administration's decision.

  • Default values for 2026: night travel compensation 16,00 € and meal allowance 13,50 €.

A clearer Payroll settings page

We made the Payroll settings page clearer by grouping the settings by theme. This helps you find the setting you need faster.

API support for worker category and job grade

We added support for worker category and job grade to the API. These details can now be transferred to payroll through integrations as well.

Controller

Controller's renewed permissions

Admins can now define in more detail what each user can see and do in Controller:

  • Permissions can be limited by dimension — you define which dimensions' data the user can read or edit.

  • In addition, you select the sections the user has access to (e.g. reports, budgets, forecasts).

Fixes

We have corrected the following system errors to ensure smooth usage:

Cost centre report shortcuts: Fixed a bug where saving a report as a shortcut kept only the first selected cost centre. The shortcut now opens the report with all the cost centres selected at the time of saving.

Dimension income statement report: Fixed a bug where the report displayed a technical error message if no dimension had been selected. The page now redirects to a clear error page in these situations.
