If an employee works on a public holiday, which should add to the flexitime balance for the entire day's working hours, a corrective record type for the public holiday is needed to ensure that statutory working hours bookkeeping is preserved in Netvisor.
1. Create a separate record type to correct the flexitime balance
Create a new record type from the record type settings.
- Select Salaries > Settings > Payroll settings > Record types > Add new record type.
- Note that the record type you create only corrects the flexitime balance for the public holiday and does not affect working hours reports, holiday accrual, does not pay anything on the payslip, and does not form an allocation curve.

2. Enter normal working hours worked on a public holiday into the working hours entry
Record the normal working hours worked into the working hours entry.
In the example, 5 hours of normal hourly work are recorded for friday 6.1., which reduces flexitime by -2.50 hours when the normal working hours are 7.5 hours/day.

3. Correct the flexitime calculation for the public holiday by recording the normal working day hours with a separate record type, so that
the worked hours are fully added to the flexitime balance
Correct the flexitime calculation by recording the normal working day hours with the separate record type you created.
In the example, 7.5 hours are recorded with the record type "Flexitime correction (e.g. public holiday)", resulting in an additional +5 hours added to the flexitime balance.
