Vendor group

Vendor groups can be found in Rackbeat by going to Purchases > Vendor group. New vendor groups do not transfer over the interface from Rackbeat to Netvisor, so these must be added manually to Netvisor if needed, and the desired vendors should be assigned to the correct group in Netvisor.

Creating a vendor group

When you create a new vendor, you will automatically be asked to associate it with a vendor group. Grouping vendors is both efficient and convenient, for example, for reporting purposes. The guide below will walk you through creating vendor groups.

1. Select "Purchases" from the top menu.
2. Click "Vendor groups" in the menu.
3. Click "Create new" in the upper right corner.
4. Enter the name and (optional) number for the vendor group. Note! If you leave the "Number" field empty, Rackbeat will automatically generate a number.
5. Click "Create new vendor group" to finalize.
