This guide describes the ready-made stock transaction types in Netvisor and instructs the user on how to create their own transaction types. Stock transaction types help report what kind of stock transaction has been recorded in the system.
You can open the stock transaction type management by selecting Stock > Stock transaction types.
Netvisor has ready-made stock transaction types, which are presented in more detail below. Additionally, the user can create their own transaction types as they wish. The stock transaction type is used to report what kind of stock transaction has been recorded in the system. For example, in sales, the default type “Sales” is used, and in purchase processing, the type “Purchase” is used.
Stock transaction types are defined by default as follows:
- Sales: Used when stock transactions are created in connection with a sales order or sales invoice.
- Purchase: Used when stock transactions are created in connection with a purchase invoice or stock placement.
- Inventory: Used when stock transactions are created, for example, in connection with inventory.
- Other: Custom created stock transaction types.
- Manufacturing: Transaction type used in manufacturing entries. Manufacturing entry requires extended product management.
- Stock transfer: Used when you want to transfer goods from one stock to another.
- Correction: Used when you want to correct the value of the stock without affecting stock quantities.
New stock transaction types can be added by going to the Stock section under the Stock transaction types page. There is a link for adding a new stock transaction type. From the same page, you can edit the names of existing transaction types (using the pencil and notepad button) and delete self-created transaction types (using the red cross). System default types cannot be deleted, but their names can be changed if desired.
Perform the following actions for stock transaction types on the Stock transaction types page:
- Add a new stock transaction type by selecting the link on the page for adding a new stock transaction type.
- Edit the name of an existing transaction type by selecting the pencil and notepad button on the row of the transaction type in question.
- Delete a self-created transaction type by selecting the red cross on the row of the transaction type.
System default types cannot be deleted, but their names can be changed if desired. If multiple types have been created for a particular item, you can choose which of these is used by default.
