If necessary, an annual limit can be set for trade union dues, beyond which the dues cannot increase within a year. The annual limit for trade union dues is given in each employee's salary basis, allowing different unions' annual limits to be considered with the same salary type changes. Please note that the calculation of the annual limit is only successful if the current month's pay is paid within the same month.
To calculate the annual limit for trade union dues, new salary types must be established in the section
Pay > Payroll > Salary model management > Select the desired salary model row from the right side and click the Formulas button
In the opened view, you can add a new salary type by clicking the link "Add new salary type and attach to salary model".
1. Establish salary types trade union dues with annual limit and trade union dues percentage
Provide the salary types with the basic data according to images 1 and 2:
The salary type "Trade union max/year" source is "Employee's salary basis", so the annual limit can be set in the section Pay > Personnel > Salary basis management.
Image 1. Trade union max/year salary type basic data

For the salary type "Trade union % with annual limit", the percentage of the membership fee is defined in the employee's salary basis information.
Image 2. Trade union % with annual limit salary type basic data

When establishing the salary type, new columns "Trade union max/year" and "Trade union % with annual limit" will appear in the Salary basis section. They are visible to all employees but are only used in the salary model where the changes in this guide have been made.
Pay > Personnel > Salary basis management
Add to the Salary basis the annual maximum sum of the trade union dues and the trade union dues percentage for each employee.

7. Provide formula for salary type trade union dues with annual limit condition
A condition is given to the new trade union dues salary type for interpreting the annual limit of trade union dues:

Save.
The condition tells the new trade union dues with annual limit condition salary type that if the accumulation of trade union dues from the past year is less than the defined annual limit, the salary type uses the trade union dues percentage for collection. But if the accumulation produces a larger result than the defined annual limit, the salary type uses the difference in accumulation for collecting trade union dues.
8. Add new trade union dues with annual limit condition salary type to be paid formula
Pay > Payroll > Salary model management > Select the desired salary model row from the right side Formulas button > Select the To be paid salary type row from the right side Edit button

In the opened view, edit the formula of the salary type.
You can get a new row from the green plus at the end of the view.
Add the last two rows according to the image to the formula. Save.
9. Edit payslip layout
Since changes have been made to the salary types related to the collection of trade union dues, the payslip layout is also edited.
Pay > Payroll > Salary model management > Select the desired salary model row from the right side Formulas button > Select Format tab
In the opened view, you can hide salary types and change their position on the payslip.
Hide the salary types Trade union dues with annual limit, Trade union % with annual limit, Trade union dues accumulation with annual limit, Trade union max/year, and Trade union dues with annual limit difference from the payslip by removing the check from the "Visible" box. Save the change.

Move the trade union dues with annual limit condition salary type below the Net wage or salary heading. You can move the row by going over the dot pattern at the beginning of the row, when the mouse cursor changes to a four-headed arrow, you can drag the row in the Format view. Save the change.
10. Edit settlement point information
Since the salary type that makes the deduction for trade union dues on the payslip has been changed, the information of the Settlement points must also be edited for the unions to which employees belonging to the salary model in question belong.
Settlement points that only include employees of salary models that do not have annual limit processing in use are left unchanged.
You can change the Settlement point information as follows:
Pay > Payroll > Obligations > Settlements > Manage settlement points
Select the desired trade union settlement point from the right side Edit button.
Change the "Deducting salary type on payslip" dropdown to the salary type "Trade union dues with annual limit condition". Save.
11. Using trade union dues annual limit with other salary models
These changes only affect the salary model where the changes have been made. Other possibly used salary models work as before, without the annual limit for trade union dues.
If the use of the annual limit for trade union dues is desired to be implemented with another salary type, it can be done as follows:
Attach the trade union dues with annual limit condition salary type also to the formula of the To be paid salary type of the respective salary model and also add the other salary types and their formulas needed for calculating the annual limit for trade union dues to the salary model. (see detailed instructions above in section 6.)
