In the selection, new key figures can be created for the Controller's performance monitoring. These help calculate values from accounting to the performance monitoring view.
The system has ready-made key figures based on the specification of accounts. Values for these key figures are automatically obtained for performance monitoring. Default system-generated key figures cannot be deleted. Self-entered key figures can be deleted.
Values are updated during the night run. If necessary, values can be calculated manually at the desired time.

Source of key figure data: "Formula" and "Static data" can be selected. Static data means manually entered value.
The Save button saves the created key figure.
Edit key figure
Once the key figure is saved, it does not yet have a formula. Find the key figure using the search function in the Key Figures view, enter edit mode by clicking the name of the key figure.
If the key figure has been used in the calculation of another key figure, only the target value can be edited from its information. The formula, however, can be edited normally.
Management of key figure formula
The formula of the key figure can be managed if the source of the key figure data is a formula. If it is static data, the following notification appears: "The type of data source for the key figure has been defined as static data". In this case, the formula for the key figure cannot be managed. Once the key figure is saved, it does not yet have a formula. Find the key figure using the search function in the Key Figures view, enter edit mode by clicking the name of the key figure.
If the key figure has been used in the calculation of another key figure, only the target value can be edited from its information. The formula, however, can be edited normally.

Example of a ready formula
The view shows if the key figure is used in the calculation of another key figure's formula. The above example is included in the "Operating result" key figure formula.
Order: Row order number in the listing. If, for example, a new row is to be added to the top row of the listing, it is added to the bottom row and given the order number 1-9. After saving, the added row is at the top of the listing.
Type: The types below can be selected.
Arithmetic operation: Mathematical operations + - * / ( ) etc. When adding a formula, mathematical calculation rules must be followed!
Change of period for accounting actual values: Select the desired account or account group from the specification of accounts.
Key figure for accounting actual values: Select the desired account or account group from the specification of accounts.
Average of accounting actual values for the period: Select the desired account or account group from the specification of accounts.
Number: Self-entered, fixed numerical value.
Own key figure: Existing key figures can be picked as part of the formula. The key figure must not be part of itself, otherwise, it results in a so-called eternal loop and the system gives an error message "DEADLOCK!"
Correction factor for key figure period: The correction factor is intended so that, for example, added numbers are correctly obtained for quarterly and financial period figures so that they do not multiply multiple times.

This can be done for key figures whose data source is static data. If there are no key figures with static data, the notification appears: No key figures marked with static data as the data source. The key figure is given the desired value per month.

The view brings the established monitoring views and the key figures linked to them into the listing
This allows a completely new tab to appear in the performance monitoring view. A new view can be added from the new view link. The name of the new view is entered in the description field. The order number affects the order of the tabs. The view with the smallest order number is shown first on the left, and the largest number is the last. An already created view can be edited by clicking the name of the view. The view can also be deleted from here.
The selection allows an existing key figure to be added to the desired view.
View: Select the view to which the key figure is added from the field.
Key figure: Select the existing key figure to be linked from the field. The field can also select an accounting account group or accounting account.
Order: The field affects the order in which the key figures are displayed. The key figure with the smallest order number appears first in the listing.
Expansion by default: You can set the key figure to expand by default, i.e., if the key figure consists of a formula that includes other key figures, the key figure is automatically expanded in the monitoring view.
The formed view looks like below, for example.
Edit: The section allows information to be edited again, e.g., change the order.
Delete: Deletes the key figure from the view. Does not delete the key figure itself.
Formatting: The selection allows default formatting to be replaced with custom choices. The view has the selections below.
Allow drilling: It can be selected whether the key figure can be drilled down to the voucher level, where the vouchers that make up the value can be seen.

Calculation of key figures
All key figures, including those defined by the user, are pre-calculated based on the previous day's data.
The user can initiate the recalculation of key figures if all the latest transactions are desired to be included. The calculation takes from a few seconds to some tens of seconds.
When the Key Figures and Management Reporting function is used for the first time, the key figure calculation must be initiated manually for the first time. In the first calculation, select the two lowest options from the calculation view and start the calculation. In the future, the system will automatically calculate the key figures overnight. The calculation must be done manually if a real-time balance from the accounting side is desired in the Controller section. The active period refers to the active financial period.
