When a new holiday calculation method is created for a company, the program automatically creates the necessary salary types for holiday calculation. Each holiday calculation method has its own Holiday pay and Holiday bonus salary types, which are used on the payslip for their payment.
All Holiday pay and Holiday bonus salary types must have bookkeeping postings and the income type required by the Income Register added.
Holiday pay accrual is recorded in Holidays management view as an expense in bookkeeping and as holiday pay debt on the balance sheet. When holidays are paid, the holiday pay debt formed in bookkeeping is reversed. This directs the expenses of holiday pay accrual in bookkeeping to the correct calculation targets based on the Allocation curve of the payslip for the holiday earning month. Thus, the calculation targets at the time of payment do not affect the expense entries. Read more about handling holiday pay in bookkeeping.
