Add holiday/absence
To facilitate the entry of holidays and longer absences in the working hours record, there is a function that allows you to enter an absence or holiday for a longer period and desired date range. The automation also includes Saturdays.
Perform holiday/absence entry:
- Go to the working hours record.
- Select the function by clicking the Add holiday/absence link at the top of the page.

- The function opens in its own window. Select the desired dates from the calendar and provide a cost center for the entry.
- Choose the appropriate record type (e.g., Annual holiday).
- Note that annual holidays are always recorded as whole annual holiday days in Netvisor's working hours. For annual holidays, the unit must always be a day, not an hour.
Management of holiday and absence record types
The record type "Annual holiday" is not default for all payroll models. If a suitable record type for recording annual holidays is missing from the list, create a new record type.
Manage record types:
You can open the view by selecting Payroll > Settings > Payroll settings > Record types tab.
Holiday and absence record types are managed in the record types management.

Checking the number and balance of holiday days
Check your holiday days balance:
- Go to the Working hours record view.
- Find the number of recordable holiday days in the top right corner of the view.
- Hover over the holiday days balance to see the breakdown.
- You can see how many holiday days available you have.
- You can see how many of them are already planned to be taken (i.e., recorded in working hours records for the future).
- You can see how many holiday days are still recordable.

Information: The recordable holiday days are formed from the total holiday days in the Holiday management Holiday accruals function and the Taken and paid function.
