Salary bases
In salary bases management, the salary bases of employees are managed, i.e., the salary types from which the pay is formed on the payslip. You can access salary bases management from the menu Pay > Personnel > Salary bases management

For a salary type to appear as its own column in salary bases, the source of the salary type must be "employee's salary bases":

and the salary type must be linked to the formulas of the salary model.
If the salary bases page is completely empty, check that you have added a salary model in the implementation phase 1. Salary models are copied from the ready-made salary model bank. The employee must also be linked to the salary model in the payroll implementation phase "7. Adding persons" so that salary bases can be added to the employee.
Salary bases can also be accessed from the employee's information on the first tab Employee functions > Salary bases

In salary bases, the employees of each salary model form their own table. Only active employees are shown in the tables.

Salary model-specific tables can be collapsed/opened by clicking the blue title bar of the table. This way, you can easily handle only a single salary model.
Edit salary base
Individual fields can be easily edited by clicking the field, which opens the field in edit mode, and a new value can be directly entered into it.

Remember to save changes with the save button.
Mass tool
Values can also be entered or calculated in bulk into fields. Each salary type column has a downward arrow icon on the right edge, which opens the mass tool when clicked.
The tool can handle the data of the column in bulk from which the icon was opened.

The tool can be closed from the cross in the upper right corner or the "Cancel" link at the bottom. In neither case will any possibly given data be updated to the table.
Rows to be handled
In the column data update tool, select which fields of the column to be handled you want to change.

All
The change applies to all fields of the column.
Only those in edit mode
The change applies only to those fields of the column that were in edit mode before the tool was opened. This is a convenient way to select exactly the desired rows for handling.
Only empty
The change applies only to those fields of the column that were empty before the tool was opened.
Only those with a value
The change applies to all fields of the column that have a value, i.e., the fields are not empty.

Only those where the value is equal to/less than/greater than/not equal to The selection brings up a field next to it where the condition value can be given. The change applies to all fields of the column where the given condition is met (e.g., "only those where the value is less than 1500").
Set new value
A new value can be directly given to the fields to be handled, or a new value can be calculated. The field can also be emptied.

Set as new value
Sets the given value as the new value for the fields to be handled. E.g., 1200.00 or 6. The number is saved with the given precision.
Change by percentage
Increases/decreases the field to be handled according to the percentage.
The value is increased by giving the change percentage.
To decrease the value, the percentage is given as negative. E.g., 2.5 or -0.3.
Changing by percentage rounds the calculated value to two decimal places.
Changing by percentage does not update empty fields.
Change by sum
Increases/decreases the field to be handled by the given sum.
The field value is increased simply by giving the sum by which the value is to be increased.
To decrease the value, the number is given as negative. E.g., 50 or -2.5.
Changing by sum does not update empty fields.
Set as empty
Empties the fields to be handled (leaves the field empty and does not set the value to zero).
Perform mass action
The new value is updated to the desired rows from the window button, after which the new information can be previewed and further processed if necessary.
Update column data for preview
In the preview, you can directly see the values modified or set in bulk through the tool in the table. The information can still be edited before saving. The mass tool can also be used multiple times before saving. This is useful if multiple changes need to be made consecutively to some rows.
The background color of the field indicates the edit status of the field.

White
The field is opened in edit mode, but the value is the same as after the previous save.
Green
The field value has been edited (differs from what the value was before the previous save).
If the value is changed back to what it was, the background color changes to white.
Red
The field value has been changed and is now incorrect (causes an error in saving).

Save or cancel changes
"Save" and "Cancel" functions appear at the bottom of the page as soon as even one field is opened in edit mode.

Saving
Changes are saved from the "Save" button at the bottom of the page. The green background color of the field indicates that the value has been changed and the new information is being saved to the database. If the field is in edit mode but the background color is white, the value is not changing.
Canceling
Made changes can be canceled. This returns the page to the state it was before the previous save. The "Cancel" link is found next to the "Save" button on the page.
Errors
If there are errors in the edited data, the user is directed to the first field that causes the error. The data is not saved until all the information is error-free.

Change history
Starting from 16.11.2023, the Change history column is visible on the Salary bases page on the right side, where you can view changes made to each employee's salary bases. The change history starts accruing data only after 16.11.2023, so there is no log of changes made earlier.
From the change history, you can see who made the change, when the value was changed, and what the old and new values are.

Access rights
The page requires the payroll accountant role (P) and additionally requires edit rights in the payroll-specific functions to the "employee management" section. With read rights, the information can be viewed but not edited.
