This guide explains how to apply for an accounting firm-specific certificate from Netvisor for statutory notifications.
The accounting firm-specific certificate is applied through the widget named “Certificate for sending statutory notifications”. The widget can be found on the Netvisor homepage as well as on the Financial Management and Payroll homepages. Please note that before applying for the certificate, at least one client must be linked under the accounting firm. With the accounting firm-specific certificate, the accounting firm can send notifications for all client companies with which the firm has a valid service agreement and authorization to send notifications. The accounting firm-specific certificate works for both income register notifications and other statutory notifications.
The widget directs you to apply for the certificate through the tax authority's website. The application for the adoption of the income register's technical interface is made in the tax authority's electronic service. The application initiates the certificate order.
The application for the adoption of the technical interface can only be made by a person with the right to sign for the applicant organization, i.e.
- CEO
- Deputy CEO
- Officer with sole representation rights
- Entrepreneur.
When the application is made by an accounting firm or another payroll outsourcing partner, it must have a valid service agreement and authorization to act on behalf of its client company.
The accounting firm creates the certificate and manages notifications on behalf of all clients with one certificate.
Log in to the tax authority's electronic service to make the application at https://www.vero.fi/tietoa-verohallinnosta/kehittaja/varmennepalvelu/tuotantovarmenteet/. If you need help with the application, you can ask for assistance and advice directly from the authority.
Remember these:
- Separate transfer IDs are applied for Netvisor
- Netvisor's channel is a delayed Web Service interface
- "on whose behalf" - you can also choose both if the accounting firm's own notifications are also sent from Netvisor
- Technical contact person as the accounting firm's user
- The certificate order starts automatically
The person marked as the technical contact receives a secure email and a pin code via text message from the authority to open the secure email.
In the secure email, you receive the transfer ID and a one-time password. These are entered in Netvisor through the “Certificate for statutory notifications” widget. For the user to see this widget, they must be set as the company's Netvisor main user and have either:
- At least "edit rights" in Payroll function-specific rights for "Payroll" or
- At least “edit rights” in Accounting rights in the roles of Accountant or User Administrator.
By clicking the widget text "Certificate for data delivery", a view opens where the transfer IDs and one-time password can be entered. Enter the transfer ID and one-time password and click "Send certificate retrieval request".
After this, Netvisor takes care of the certificate retrieval process.
When the certificate is in order, it looks like this.
If the accounting firm has a Netvisor certificate, but should have an accounting firm certificate:
If this situation occurs, then with just the Netvisor certificate, you can only send the accounting firm's own material, and sending client companies' material is not possible unless they have their own Netvisor certificate. Go to the Netvisor homepage and the certificate valid Widget. If it says Netvisor certificate, this only covers one company. It should say Accounting firm-specific certificate. The main user can revoke the certificate by pressing the Revoke authorization button. After this, start from the beginning of this guide to apply for the accounting firm certificate. This creates a few days' break. The accounting firm certificate can be applied for if the company is an accounting firm and at least one client is linked under it.
