This guide describes how to define and use grouping criteria for organizing and searching products in Netvisor. Grouping criteria are available only in extended product management, and they enhance product listings by associating keywords with products.
CONTENT
Grouping criteria are user-defined text information that can be selected for products. Since a product can belong to only one product group, grouping criteria diversify the organization and search of products in the product listing. You can assign so-called keywords to products, and by searching the product listing with these keywords, you can display the desired products. The same keyword can be stored behind multiple products. Grouping criteria are only available in extended product management.
You can manage grouping criteria by selecting Products > Product management > open the desired product > Manage grouping criteria.

Manage grouping criteria
Management of grouping criteria includes creating new grouping criteria and editing and deleting existing ones.
Create new grouping criteria
Give the grouping criteria the desired name. If the product is used in English or Swedish, the created grouping criteria must be translated manually.
- Open grouping criteria management for the desired product.
- Enter the name of the grouping criteria in Finnish.
- If necessary, enter translations in the English and Swedish fields.
- Leave the English and Swedish fields empty if you want them to use the same information as in the Finnish field.
- Save the new grouping criteria.

Once the desired grouping criteria have been created, they can be edited and deleted.
- Editing is done using the pencil and notepad button.
- Deleting is done using the red cross.
- Information can be deleted even if it is already in use by products. When deleted, the information is removed from the products.
Assign to product
Created grouping criteria can be selected for the desired product on the product’s Basic information edit tab.
Proceed as follows when assigning a grouping criteria to a product:
- Open the desired product and go to the Basic information edit tab.
- Select the desired grouping criteria with the mouse on the respective row so that the row appears with a blue background.
- Select the desired number of grouping criteria for the product.
- Finally, save the information.
The menu displays the grouping criteria that have been created earlier. In the example below, the keyword has been selected as the grouping criteria.

Use grouping criteria in product listing
Once the desired grouping criteria have been assigned to a product, they can be used in the product listing to search for the product using this criteria.
- Open the product listing.
- Enter in the search field the grouping criteria given to the product (for example, a keyword).
- Search for products; the products that have the same keyword stored will be displayed.
Below is an example using the keyword "hakusana", which was set as the product's Title grouping criteria.
