Salary history information is entered during the implementation of Netvisor for pay periods whose calculation has not been performed in Netvisor. The information behaves like regular payslips, meaning they are included in payroll reports, cumulative earnings on the payslip, and can be used as salary information in salary type formulas, for example, in holiday calculation or average hourly earnings calculation.
The salary history information table does not automatically sum the entered values. Each column is individual, and only a value is given.
History information must always be entered targeted to a specific month so that it can be used in tax card calculation and salary type formulas as earnings information, e.g., in holiday calculation and KTA/KPA calculation.
The most important thing is to add all earnings belonging to the "calculatory" group of salary types to the salary history information, such as "salary in money", "gross pay", and "withholding tax", which affect the cumulative earnings of the tax card.
All salary types of the employee's salary model are displayed in the salary history information. It is not mandatory to give a value for all salary types. However, salary information should be added at least to those salary types that are desired to be reported, visible in the cumulative earnings of the payslip, and used in the average hourly earnings calculation.
Entering salary history information for the whole year
If the employee has only one tax card valid from 1.1.20xx, the earnings for the whole year can be added at once with the "no monthly breakdown" option per employee. This facilitates, for example, the addition of the whole year's history information for multiple companies into Netvisor. Salary history information can be imported in bulk with "Import history information" Excel.
When the tax card is valid from 1.1.20xx and earnings have been added with the "no monthly breakdown" option, these earnings affect the tax card earnings and are included in salary reports.
These saved earnings are not displayed in the cumulative earnings of the tax card nor in the cumulative earnings of the payslip.

Entering information
Access the view like this: Pay > Settings > Payroll settings > Salary history information
- Select Employee, Year and Month > Show
- Information is saved in rows by salary type. The view does not have calculation automation, so all numbers are entered manually. The quantity and unit price fields are not mandatory; information can also be entered directly only in the "amount" field.

- Save
NOTE! Salary history information cannot be entered both with monthly breakdown and without monthly breakdown. If information is entered without monthly breakdown and then added with monthly breakdown, previous information will be cleared from the program.
Withholding tax and tax card
Withholding tax entered in history information affects tax card calculation. History information must be entered according to the validity period of tax cards for different months based on earnings. The employee's information must have a tax card saved so that the history information is saved to the tax card information.

History information to be entered for calculation formulas
When history information is to be used, for example, in KTA calculation, the history information must be entered targeted to the correct month. History information is entered for the original salary types (e.g., time work earnings, evening allowance, etc.) that affect KTA calculation in the salary type formula. The ready KTA value cannot be entered directly to the KTA salary type.
Example of entering history information
Payroll with Netvisor starts in July 2019. Salaries for the period January-June 2019 are entered into history information. The employee's tax card became valid on 1.2.2019, and KTA calculation is used quarterly by calendar year.
January's history information is entered at the monthly level for January so that tax card calculation works correctly. The tax card valid in January is saved for the employee with the correct type.
Information for February-March can be entered each on its own month or collectively in March so that the KTA calculation formula automation gets the first quarter's information from the history information.
Information for April-June can be entered similarly each on its own month or collectively in June so that KTA calculation can pick up the quarter's earnings.
Recording paid holiday pay
Paid holiday pay can be entered into salary history information on their own rows. Paid holiday pay, holiday bonuses, and holiday compensations become visible through history information in holiday calculation reports and cumulative earnings on the payslip.

Paid holiday pay, bonuses, and compensations must be included in the amount of Salary in money and Gross pay saved in history information.
Save other earnings in Salary history information on their own salary type rows and add the euro amount of paid holiday pay, bonuses, and compensations to the sum of Salary in money and Gross pay rows.
In the example, the earnings are as follows: Monthly salary 8,000 euros, Holiday pay 1,000 euros, and Holiday bonus 500 euros. Total earnings 9,500 euros
