This guide covers the holiday entitlement management view, which is used to manage and review settings affecting employees' holiday calculation. The guide describes the view's functions, employee batch handling, and required access rights.

Manage and review settings affecting employees' holiday calculation, such as the employment condition, the number of holiday days accrued per month, the size of the holiday percentage, and holiday calculation methods. Select Payroll > Settings > Holiday calculation settings.
Employee holiday settings can also be defined individually in the employee's basic information. Changes are updated in both directions in the views. Select Payroll > Personnel > Employee listing.

View functions and tips
- Filter the holiday entitlement management view according to the intended use.
- Define from the top bar which columns are displayed in the table, how employees are grouped, or what the current status of the employment relationship should be.
- Search and filter the displayed information using keywords.
- Save the view as an Excel file.

For example:
Change "Group" selection to "-no grouping-" to display all employees in alphabetical order in the table.

- Check the employment status, which is either "Valid" or "Not valid".
- Hover the mouse over the "Valid" column to see the start date and possible end date of the employee's current (or most recent) employment relationship. The start date of the continuous employment relationship is shown in parentheses.

Click on the employment status to see a list of all the employee's employment relationships. 
Note the orange or red notices in the view. They indicate that some information needs updating or is completely missing to ensure the timeliness of the information. Hover the mouse over the box to see the reason for the notice.

Employee batch handling
Handle employee holiday management information efficiently with batch processing functions. Define all different annual holiday information, set the salary model, and accept (in orange) proposed changes. Accept the proposed change to activate the proposed rule immediately.
- Select an individual employee as active by clicking the checkbox at the beginning of the row (see image below, point 1) or by double-clicking the row outside the name (2).
- Select all employees belonging to the group as active using the grouping header checkbox (3).
- Select all employees in the view as active from the column header checkbox (4).
- Row selections remain after performing the batch function, allowing multiple actions to be performed on the same selected employees.
- Remove selections individually by clicking the checkboxes or remove all selections with the "Clear selections" button (5).

- Select employee(s), activating the "Handle x selected" button.
- Choose the desired action.
- Define the desired setting.
- Finally, click the "Set" button.

Access rights
Ensure you have the Payroll accountant role and edit rights in the Payroll Function-specific rights section for Time management > Holidays and absences to access the holiday entitlement management view. Note that with read rights, updating information and batch functions are not available. See similar information from the employee listing if you do not have the Payroll accountant role.
